About

Hi there, welcome to Pineapples & Tea!

On my bit of the www right here I’ll be posting the recipes from my Instagram.

Who am I though? Tough question.

My name is Silke, I live in Belgium, Antwerp.                                                                                  Currently I’m studying Applied Linguistics English and Italian.

My food obsessions? Pineapples and tea, clearly. But also chocolate and avocado. Kiwi fruits and berries also seem to do the trick. Bananas are a staple. Oh, oats, rice and potatoes. Let’s just say that I’m obsessed with plantbased food in general, that saves us all some time.

Food is fuel for me and my body. I run, I lift, I study and I try to function as a ‘normal’ human being (whatever that means). The last one is where it gets a bit tricky though. So good and healthy food aka a whole foods plant based diet is key. But that doesn’t mean I’m giving in on flavour, my taste buds don’t just settle for anything.

I like to eat a diet that is as least harmful as it can be and that’s where veganism comes into the story: it is the best diet for the environment, my health, the animals, world hunger and the planet in general. If you would like to find out more about veganism, you can do so right here.

For me personally, veganism came with much more than respect for the animals, the planet and the environment. It embodies the ethics I like to stand for and thaught me about self-love and self-care.

Oh, and the awesome logo? Not my design, I’m not a drawing talent. All credits for it go to my girl Atalya DC.

Any questions, ideas, suggestions?                                                                                           Please do get in touch, I would love to hear from you.

Hope you enjoy!

With all my love,

Silke
