My love for coffee is not a very well-kept secret now, is it? Well, I didn’t intend it to be because if we’re honest, coffee is love, coffee is life.
Tbh, I cut down on the real thing a long time ago. Since I drink a lot of coffee and I have a very sensitive nervous system, decaf is my go-to. At home, that is. And post-workout too. Pre-workout and buying coffee when I’m out, that’s when I allow myself to get caffeinated.
I remember that in my pre-blog/pre-insta era, I used to drink a coffee smoothie with oats and errthing. I can’t remember how I used to make it though and I had kind of forgotten about the whole ‘coffee in smoothies is goddamn tasty’ thing. But then I saw my girl @Soy’nCherry making a mouthwatering coffee concoction and I figured I had to make one myself too.
I’m not exagerating when I say that after this smoothie, I can gym/run/bike/jump/… for hours on end. I feel energized, my heart is pumping. This smoothie is filling and full of healthy goodness but your stomach won’t feel heavy or make you feel sluggish at all. Pre-workout perfection if you ask me.

Pre-workout Coffee Smoothie
- 1 cup coffee
- 1 banana
- 2 dates
- 1 tsp maca powder
- 1 tsp peanut butter
- half a glass plant milk (depending on how thick you like your smoothie ofc)
- Blend everything until silky smooth sweet coffee perfection.
- Drink and enjoy every second of it.
- Feel hyped.
